“My God, my rock, in whom I take refuge, my shield, and the horn of my salvation, my stronghold and my refuge, my savior; you save me from violence. 4 I call upon the LORD, who is worthy to be praised, and I am saved from my enemies.” –2Samuel 22:3-4

This verse brings peace and calmness to my soul. I should not worry about something happening to my family because I have someone on my side. . .my Lord. Certainly, we are a world filled with good and evil and the ability to decide on anything for we have been given free will, but, nonetheless, I will place my faith on my Lord who will keep us safe. I know things happen everyday, but worrying about it will not fix anything, I can only pray and do my part as much as possible to keep my family safe. He is my rock and he is the one whom I take refuge in.
