Fashion: A Rainy Day OOTD

“Then I will give you your rains in their season, and the land shall yield its increase, and the trees of the field shall yield their fruit.”

–Leviticus 26:4

Hello and welcome to Mrs. Lady Renaissance. For today’s post, I would like to discuss the beauty of rain. California has been in a drought for about 4 years and according to USA Today, we may be approaching a “mega drought” that, apparently, is something far too difficult to diagnose prior to occurring. In other words, we may notice we are having a “mega drought” once we are smack dab in the middle of it. What is a “mega drought” you ask? Well, according to the article published in 2014, a “mega drought” is drought lasting for a decade or more. Interestingly, a doubt in the U.S. is not all too uncommon and they  have occurred in the past. The article mentions the 1930’s Dust Bowl, I learned about it a year ago while watching a Netflix Documentary, that had Oklahoma residents migrating to other states. Anyway, the point of my post, before I got off track, far too common on this blog, is to give a big hooray for the rain on Monday. It was very much welcomed and appreciated. I feel that the rain almost feels like a cleanse, a new beginning of some sort, a fresh start. Aside from discussing the rain, I’m also posting my outfit of the day for a nice rainy day; it may seem like an oxymoron, but it is true. A nice rainy day. What could be a better choice for such a day than the half shell heroes and some Guess over-the-knee boots? Thank you for stopping by.
