Healthy Insider: Talcum Powder and Cancer

Hello and welcome to Mrs. Lady Renaissance. Today’s post is about the dangers of talcum powder. A while back I briefly wrote about talcum powder being hazardous for babies when the fine powder becomes airborne and inhaled as it has been described to be like asbestos. The same has been said about the chalk for chalkboards. Now, the talcum powder is being linked to ovarian cancer. Daily products deemed safe are becoming exposed as many are realizing these products contain hazardous ingredients. These are products marketed for babies yet many of those baby products are the most dangerous (“No More Tears” has been linked to containing two cancer causing ingredients that was removed in 2014).

According to Mercola.com, Johnson and Johnson has to award “$72 million dollars in damages” to Jacqueline Fox who has developed ovarian cancer. Also, Gloria Ristesund has sued the company and is receiving $55 million dollars because she was also diagnosed with ovarian cancer and the powder was found in her “ovarian tissue.”It does not stop there, thousands are suing, but, somehow, J&J has not acknowledged the dangers of the product. I’ve said this before, but it is important to understand that our body is our biggest organ and what we put on it WILL be absorbed. Companies, knowing this, still place carcinogenic ingredients in their products. J&J is the classic ‘baby friendly’ brand that refuses to acknowledge the carcinogenic ingredients within its products. One thing I had no idea about was that J&J owned Splenda. Artificial sweeteners have also been linked to cancer and should be avoided at all costs. If you are interested in reading a detailed article you can read the rest of the article here. Also, I’ve talked about “Nature Cures They Don’t Want You to Know About” and how the book touches upon how dangerous certain ingredients are. Kevin Trudeau, regardless of his criminal charges, makes great points and exposes the pharmaceutical companies. I’ve quoted him before as he’s said, “if you can’t eat it, don’t put it on your skin.” Finally, don’t forget to look at the ingredients in your products, research them, inform yourself. Only then can you fight the fight against life threatening diseases.
