“And what is a weed? A plant whose virtues have not yet been discovered.” — Ralph Waldo Emerson
I often feel like a weed, someone who doesn’t quite bloom like a plant, a rose, a fruit tree; simply someone that doesn’t quite fit in or often welcomed, but reading this quote provides comfort that even as a weed, I have a hidden virtue. I have an undiscovered talent of some sort–fingers crossed–one that will be found. As mothers, parents, daughters, sons, citizens of society, we get lost in the daily hustle where we become masters of so much yet none at the same time. Well, do not be distraught for we are more than what appears, deeper than believed and stronger than expected. If you find yourself to be a weed, look deeper within yourself and you will find that you are not really dependent on taking someone else’s food supply, you don’t suck the life of others for you can survive on your own. Today, be proud of being different, proud of growing and expanding in your own way, with your own thoughts. Who says weeds can’t be beautiful? It is all based on perspective and remember, “beauty is in the eye of the beholder” so don’t fret if you find yourself to be different.
Have a great day!
I am the beautiful weed 🌿🌻
