“Far better is it to dare mighty things, to win glorious triumphs, even though checkered by failure… than to rank with those poor spirits who neither enjoy nor suffer much, because they live in a gray twilight that knows not victory nor defeat.”–Theodore Roosevelt
Many times, we–I– am faced with the fear of failure. I am faced with failure as I am struggling to change things around, but that is okay. Life is full of triumphs and failures. Much like Roosevelt says is true; why would I want to live on the “gray” where I remain on the safety net? Why would I rather steer clear and stand on the side lines simply because of fear of failure, for if I don’t fail and get back up, then I will never experience victory. Today, I am faced with a difficult defeat, but I will not allow this to take the best of me, for I too can achieve victory, even if it is the second time around.
