I blogged about the Guestroom being converted into a Playroom/Guestroom. For now, this is completed. We still need the guest bed, but we are holding off on it for a bit. We do not have any plans on having any overnight guests. This is our, for now, completed version. As mentioned on our previous post, we painted the black wall “caviar” by Sherwin Williams. We used old pictures, removed the glass, wrapped foam boards from the dollar store and personalized it with my kids pictures. We also made a desk out of an old T.V. console. I will go more into detail about the T.V. console once it’s been completed as it still needs a little more work on it. I spray painted the desk’s knobs gold by using Valspar’s spray paint. I will go into further detail once the details are fine tuned. We added trim to the door and also painted the door “caviar” by Sherwin Williams. The kids seem to really enjoy this room. They can enjoy creating crafts on the desk, read books on the floor, and play toys as all of their toys are in the room. I used a hamper to put the big toys in, notice the silver box in between the two book shelves. Noah, my 1 year old’s, toys are in black cube boxes located on the bottom of the book shelves; Sarah’s are a bit higher. Hannah, the 10 year old, her stuff are way on the top, so the younger kids can’t reach them. We bought cube boxes from H&M for $3.99 plus 20% off, as they were having a deal. We secured the book shelves into the wall, well I did, as I searched the studs with a stud finder. I bought the mosquito nets, for my girls, on eBay for $4.00 per net. I plan on making Noah a teepee from an old curtain and I will blog it. What do you think of the playroom aspect. I know we are currently lacking the guestroom part, but as soon as we do update it, I will post it.
